Carolina Arbors is a Del Webb community conveniently located on the border of Durham and Raleigh in Brier Creek. The finished community will have over 1200 homes.  The homes come in a variety of floor plans featuring 1 to 4 bedrooms.  The homes range in price from the mid-$200s to $600s. Construction began just a few years ago and continues today.  HOA dues are $174 per month.

The 34,000-square-foot clubhouse boasts amenities including indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, and a fitness center. Activities include aerobics, dancing, book clubs, and much more.  The full-time Lifestyle Director ensures there are plenty of activities for residents.  Other community amenities include dog parks, a community garden, and nature trails

Creekside at Bethpage is a 55+ community developed by AV Homes also located in the Brier Creek neighborhood in Durham.  The neighborhood has over 600 homesites, and homes come in a variety of floor plans with 2 – 4 bedrooms.   The homes are craftsman and farmhouse style, much different from the other neighborhoods in the triangle.  Homes are priced from the mid-$300s to the high $500s.  A new section of 56 townhomes is being built and will be priced in the high $200s to mid $300s.  HOA dues are $209 per month.

The 13,000-square-foot community center named Hemingway Hall has a variety of amenities and activities for residents, including a recreation center, pool, tennis courts, and community garden.

The Courtyards at Andrews Chapel is another Epcon Active Lifestyle Community but is not age restricted.  There will be 120 single-family homes from 1500 to 2700 square feet.  They will consist of 2-3 bedrooms and a two-and-a-half car garage.  The homes will start in the high $300s.  HOA fees are $220 a month and include exterior maintenance and lawn care.

The clubhouse will have a fitness center and several multi-purpose rooms.  The outdoor pool, gazebo, scenic ponds, and walking trails complete the picturesque environment.

Fendol Farms Manor, the newest 55+ community, is being built by Lennar will break ground in 2018.  There will be 500 single-family homes ranging in size from 2200 to 3600 square feet.  The three available floor plans have two to four bedrooms and just as many bathrooms.  Two and three-door garage options will also be available.

The clubhouse will offer a fitness room, multi-purpose rooms, and a bar and grill patio.  Outside plans call for a swimming pool, bocce ball, pickleball, and tennis courts. A community garden, a dog park, and walking trails will be available throughout the community.
